Excellent giant pendent with white leaves

 

Endemic to Ecuador's Amazonian lowlands, this Heliconia is listed as a Vulnerable species (one category away from being Endangered) by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Habitat destruction is the main threat to the survival of this species.
