Heliconia caribaea 'Island Lime'

  • ‘Island Lime’ is an interesting new Heliconia with a distinguishing combination of features. First it has primarily lime colored bracts that are light yellow at the base. The inner bract color is pink to maroon hue similar to that of ‘Bonnie and Clinne’. Bract tips are curl downward like the popular ‘Prince of Darkness’. Finally, the beautiful green foliage has a thick white waxy foliage on the underside of the foliage. ‘Island Lime’ is a tight clumping making it great for landscaping.
